About the Role
Rosewood Doha is seeking a Bar Manager to oversee bar operations, ensure guest satisfaction, and manage beverage cost and inventory. The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of spirits and beverages, and experience in luxury hospitality.

Responsibilities
- Ensure delivery of brand promise and reinforce Rosewood Hotels Group Culture and Brand Standard
- Monitor beverage cost to ensure it is in line with budget and take action for variations
- Ensure bar is running efficiently, including correct stock levels for all areas
- Manage all areas of business and T&C administration as assigned
- Monitor actual and projected sales daily and identify opportunities to meet revenue goals
- Fully support marketing campaigns to promote the bar
- Establish excellent rapport with guests and handle inquiries and complaints courteously
- Mentor associates and monitor their development on the floor
- Prepare weekly schedules according to T&C directives and workforce forecasts
- Ensure all bar closing tasks are completed before the bar team leaves
Requirements
- Proven experience in bar management, ideally in luxury hospitality
- Full knowledge of spirits, beers, wines, alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent guest service and communication skills
- Proficiency in Micros, Open Table, Knowcross, and other relevant systems
- Ability to manage beverage cost and inventory
- Knowledge of bar operations, including order of service and standard operating procedures
- High level of industry trend awareness and interest in local hospitality scene
- Flexibility to work various shifts

Your Role Guest Satisfaction
- Ensure delivery of brand promise and reinforce Rosewood Hotels Group Culture and Brand Standard.
- Ensure associates provide excellent service to other divisions as appropriate.
- Spend time in public areas observing associate guest interaction and coaching associates.
- Ensure all guest and associate complaints are resolved quickly and efficiently.
- Maintain positive guest and associate interactions with good working relationships.
- Implement agreed upon beverage policy and procedures throughout the property.
Finance / Administration
- Monitor Beverage Cost to ensure it is in line with budget.
- Ensure selling prices are set using guidance of F&B controller and corporate office.
- Ensure bar is running efficiently with correct stock levels.
- Communicate business performance including successes, concerns, and support needs.
- Manage all areas of business and T&C administration as assigned.
- Ensure departments operate within appropriate manpower/productivity ratios.
- Monitor actual and projected sales daily and identify opportunities.
- Manage incentive programs for upselling and marketing promotions.
Marketing
- Fully operate within Marketing & Communications parameters and support marketing campaigns.
Operations
- Have full working knowledge of bar floor plan/layout and all F&B offers.
- Have full knowledge of spirits, beers, wines, alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
- Have full knowledge of bar OS&E and drinks garnishes.
- Have full knowledge of menu, preparation methods, presentations, item characteristics and prices.
- Know daily occupancy rate, arrivals, departures, and SAGs guests.
- Be familiar with services, sites of interest, and current/upcoming events in Doha.
- Use Micros, Open Table, Knowcross and other systems as required.
- Establish excellent rapport with guests in a professional manner.
- Ensure associates understand and adhere to rules and regulations.
- Exercise responsible managerial behavior and positively represent management team.
- Understand and adhere to hotel policies concerning fire, hygiene, health and safety.
- Ensure high standards of personal presentation and grooming.
