Role overview
Support large corporate underwriting for a leading North American commercial bank.
The role covers annual reviews and credit renewals across multiple lines of business.
Work across the commercial credit lifecycle, from financial spreading and cash flow analysis through risk assessment and credit renewal approvals.
Qualifications and experience
- Qualified CA, ACCA, or MBA Finance professional.
- Strong foundation in financial analysis, ratio analysis, and cash flow assessment.
- Prior experience in credit underwriting, commercial banking, lending, credit risk, or financial analysis.
- Experience with U.S. commercial banking, corporate lending, or large corporate and middle-market underwriting is advantageous.
- Familiarity with nCino or a similar credit system is not mandatory.
- Experience working with U.S. onshore Portfolio Managers and Risk Managers.
Core responsibilities
- Prepare and own Credit Approval Memorandum sections for annual reviews and credit renewals.
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, debt service coverage, risk factors, mitigants, borrowing bases, and covenants.
- Prepare exposure summaries, obligor and business descriptions, collateral analyses, and credit recommendation support.
