Responsibilities
- Build backend services and API development
- Develop device financing, control, and lifecycle management workflows
- Design secure API design, validation, error handling, and documentation
- Create data models, database migrations, transactions, and ensure data integrity
- Implement authentication, authorisation, tenant isolation, and audit logging
- Integrate with identity, payments, notifications, device management, and partner systems
- Develop background jobs, scheduled tasks, queues, and event driven workflows
- Write unit, integration, and API tests for critical backend services
- Ensure backend observability, logging, metrics, and production diagnostics
- Maintain service documentation, API contracts, and troubleshooting guidance
Requirements
- Hands on backend engineering experience building production software systems
- Relevant experience may include TypeScript/Node.js, Java/Kotlin, Python, Go, C#/.NET
- Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar databases, Redis, queues or event streaming
- Experience with Docker, AWS/Azure/GCP
- Experience with OAuth2/OIDC, automated testing, observability and production debugging
- Experience in SaaS, fintech, telecom, device management, security, lending, payments, regulated platforms, or customer facing API products is a strong advantage

Overview
- We are building a scalable, secure, customer facing SaaS platform for device financing, control, and lifecycle management. We are looking for a hands on Backend Engineer to help build the server side foundation of the platform.
What you will own
- Backend services and API development
