Azure Application Developer (PostgreSQL Database)

Position Description:

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• - Develop and support applications using Microsoft Azure cloud technologies. - Work with Azure App Services, including Web Apps and API Apps. - Identify Azure Network Security Group (NSG) rules that need to be allowed or denied. - Read and write data from different sources using Azure Data Lake SDKs, APIs, and configurations. - Develop and support Azure Data Factory pipelines, datasets, linked services, mapping, authoring, monitoring data flows, and Self-hosted Integration Runtime integrations. - Work with Azure SQL and Azure SQL Managed Instance, including SQL programming and an understanding of Azure SQL feature differences. - Develop Azure Function Apps, including HTTP-triggered and timer-triggered applications. - Write and troubleshoot complex SQL queries and stored procedures. - Work with database concepts including partitioning, indexes, statistics, and explain/execution plans.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• - 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in application development, including experience with Azure cloud technologies and database development. - Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL databases is required for this position. - Working knowledge of Azure cloud development and design. - Experience with Azure App Services, including Web Apps and API Apps. - Experience with Azure Data Lake and Azure Data Factory. - Experience with Azure SQL and/or Azure SQL Managed Instance. - Experience with Azure Function Apps. - Strong SQL programming and troubleshooting skills, including complex queries and stored procedures. - Working knowledge of partitioning, indexes, statistics, and explain/execution plans. - Strong communication and reporting skills. CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000-$115,000. This role is an existing vacancy. #LI-VK7
