Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a leading technology solutions provider in Doha, Qatar.
Our client is seeking an experienced AV Design Engineer to join their team, supporting the design and delivery of high-quality Audio Visual solutions across large-scale projects.
Design & Engineering
- Lead preparation and submission of shop drawings
- Review tender documents, specifications, and RFQs
- Develop detailed Bill of Quantities (BoQ)
- Create detailed AV system schematic designs
- Review system proposals and technical submittals
Project Coordination & Support
- Conduct coordination workshops and provide technical support to project teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure design alignment and execution
- Support project delivery with accurate documentation and design updates
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare progress reports (monthly/annual), drawing logs, and technical documentation
- Ensure all deliverables meet project timelines and quality standards
Team Development & Quality
- Train and mentor design team members and draughtsmen to enhance efficiency
- Conduct internal training sessions for technical staff
- Implement and maintain the company Quality Management System (QMS) standards
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, or related field
- 5–7 years of experience in AV system design (consultancy or system integrator preferred)
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Visio, and related design tools
- Strong understanding of AV systems, signal flow, and integration principles
- Hands-on experience with control and DSP platforms (Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC, Biamp)
- Familiarity with AV standards and best practices
- AVIXA CTS-D certification is preferred
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
