Responsibilities
- Collect job orders and necessary materials/tools/equipment to carry out repairs and maintenance per manufacturer repair techniques
- Ensure accurate fault diagnosis and effective utilization of time allocated for repairs
- Ensure all additional repairs are authorized and parts are booked to the repair order
- Service personal tools, keep lifts and work area clean, comply with health and safety standards
- Upgrade knowledge by doing web based courses and attending classroom trainings
- Ensure efficiency and productivity maintained above 100%
- Proper clocking on/off in system and write up in repair order per prescribed procedure
Requirements
- Diploma in Automotive Engineering or ITI (2 years vocational course) Certified Auto Technician Course
- 2 to 3 years' experience as technician for Diploma holder; 3 to 5 years for ITI holder
- Basic electrical knowledge in addition to mechanical skills
- Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Attended basic technical courses from Vehicle Manufacturing companies

Functional Roles and Responsibilities

- Keep all personal tools safe; report breakages or accidents immediately.
- Ensure efficiency and productivity maintained above 100%.
- Ensure proper clocking on/off in system and write up in repair order per prescribed procedure.
- Return or store unused parts properly; dispose used parts in environment friendly manner.
- Work extra hours if needed to complete job for customer satisfaction.
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma in Automotive Engineering
- Industrial Technical Institute ITI (2 years vocational course) Certified Auto Technician Course
- 2 to 3 years' experience as technician for Diploma holder
- 3 to 5 years' experience as technician for ITI holder
- Additional technical skills are an advantage
- In addition to mechanical skills, should have basic electrical knowledge
- Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Should have attended basic technical courses from Vehicle Manufacturing companies
