- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated systems and conveyor equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC controlled automation systems
- Diagnose faults in SCADA, HMI, VFD, and electrical control systems
- Monitor equipment performance and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Support installation, commissioning, and testing of new automation equipment
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and technical documentation
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT teams to ensure system reliability
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automation, controls, or material handling systems
- Hands on experience with PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and VFDs
- Experience working with conveyor and sortation systems
- Strong troubleshooting and fault finding skills
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Good communication skills in English

Role Description
- United International Group is seeking an experienced Automation Technician to join our engineering team in Jeddah.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated material handling equipment (MHE) and control systems to ensure maximum operational efficiency and equipment uptime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated systems and conveyor equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC controlled automation systems.
- Diagnose faults in SCADA, HMI, VFD, and electrical control systems.
- Monitor equipment performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
