About the Role
Dr Rami Hamed Center seeks an Audiologist to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services for hearing and balance disorders across all age groups. Requires a medical degree recognized by DHCC, 5+ years experience, and DHA license.

Responsibilities
- Define patient’s hearing impairment and balance disorders by conferring with referring physician; selecting and administering electrophysiological and other relevant tests; operating diagnostic equipment; determining type and degree of hearing impairment and effects on comprehension and speech; interpreting audiometric diagnostic data; preparing written diagnostic reports.
- Counsel and instruct clients in techniques to improve hearing.
- Evaluate hearing disorders to determine diagnoses and courses of treatment.
- Fit and dispense assistive devices, such as hearing aids.
- Maintain client records.
- Monitor clients' progress and discharge them from treatment when goals have been attained.
- Plan and conduct treatment programs for clients' hearing or speech problems, consulting with other health care professionals.
- Recommend assistive devices according to clients' needs or nature of impairments.
- Refer clients to additional medical or educational services if needed.
- Advise educators or other medical staff on speech or hearing topics.
- Develop and supervise hearing screening programs.
- Educate and supervise audiology students and health care personnel.
Requirements
- Basic Medical Degree recognized by the Dubai Health Care City Authority
- Higher specialty certificate (membership/fellowship/board or equivalent) or specialty certificate equivalent to Master Degree recognized in DHCC
- Minimum of five years appropriate experience and competence in all aspects of the specialty
- BLS certified
- Excellent bedside manner
- Ability to communicate well with patients despite potential hearing issues
- Compassionate and patient
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Detailed personality with excellent record keeping skills
- English is mandatory
- DHA License (Required)

Job Summary & Scope
- Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services by assessing and treating neonate, infant, children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric hearing, balance, or other ear related problems and communication disorders.
- Responsibilities include identifying, assessing and treating hearing problems and balance disorders, discussing symptoms with patients and documenting treatment.

Qualifications
- Education: Basic Medical Degree recognized by the Dubai Health Care City Authority, Higher specialty certificate (membership/fellowship/board or equivalent) or specialty certificate equivalent to Master Degree recognized in Dubai Health Care City Authority (DHCC).
- Experience: Appropriate experience (Minimum of five years) and competence in all aspects of the specialty.
- Knowledge and Skills: BLS certified, excellent bedside manner, ability to communicate well with the patients, despite potential hearing issues, compassionate and patient, critical thinking and problem solving skills, detailed personality with excellent record keeping skills.
