Role overview

Core accountabilities

• Act as the primary business-functionality contact for offshore development and test teams.
• Create functional definitions from customer requirements for development and QA.
• Link offshore development and test teams with onshore teams.
• Work with Product Owners, Product Managers, and onshore Business Analysts to align delivered software with requirements.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure solutions are adequately tested.

Delivery support

• Respond to development-team queries about product functionality.
• Assist with feature prioritization and with categorizing and prioritizing change requests and defects.
• Prepare system test plans, define test scenarios, and collaborate with QA on release or sprint scope.
• Review QA test cases and provide day-to-day requirements clarification.
• Escalate delivery risks and contribute alternatives to resolve issues.
• Analyze and document business processes and workflows.

Essential requirements

• Five to ten years of professional experience.
• Effective communication and collaboration with end users, business teams, development teams, and QA teams across onshore and offshore locations.
• Ability to write, present, and articulate functional requirements as formal documents or Agile user stories.
• Ability to analyze cascading impacts across multiple business functionalities and applications.
• Ability to prioritize and estimate tasks and schedule work against sprint timelines and business priorities.
• Self-starting approach with a strong focus on prompt issue resolution.

Desirable requirements

• Familiarity with the Public Safety domain is preferred.
• Experience with Agile development methodology, particularly Scrum, is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of estimation is desirable.
