Role Overview

The engineer will participate in all aspects of software development for the business’s Research Administration applications.

The role is hands-on and covers products built or configured on the Click Portal platform for Huron clients and Professional Services solution deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Design solutions with Huron Sales and customers to identify high-value patterns.
  • Design, develop, test, release, and maintain software solution configurations.
  • Deliver application products covering design, code or configuration, documentation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Provide solutions that meet expectations for quality, flexibility, functionality, generality, and timeliness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Requires 2–4 years of software product and test development experience.
  • Requires experience as a lead designer and developer in complex system or application software.
  • Strong teamwork skills, work ethic, and the ability to work independently or with a group are required.

Technical Skills

  • Required technologies include object-oriented, multithreaded, and n-tier programming in .NET, C#, Java, or C++.
  • Required database skills include SQL, SQL Server, and database access technology and programming.
  • Required Microsoft technologies include IIS, SQL Server, Windows Server, ASP, .NET, and Microsoft development environments.
  • Required web technologies include HTML, XML, and Ajax.
  • Development and performance testing and tuning of server-based applications are required.
  • Desirable integration experience includes PeopleSoft HR, Epic Research, PeopleSoft Financials, OnCore, CRM, Oracle Financials, HL7, HIPAA, or CITI.
