Department Overview
The Data Engineering function enables enterprise-wide data platforms, analytics capabilities, and AI-driven insights.
Key focus areas include data products, self-service analytics, cloud lakehouse architecture, scalable pipelines, and AI or machine learning enablement.
Core Responsibilities
- Build production-grade ELT and ETL data pipelines.
- Develop batch and streaming ingestion solutions.
- Implement Apache Iceberg and Delta Lake storage formats.
- Optimize large-scale data transformations.
- Implement data quality controls and support data lineage and governance.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Deliver trusted and governed data products and enable self-service analytics capabilities.
- Support semantic models and curated data layers.
- Create feature-ready datasets for AI and machine learning initiatives.
- Ensure scalable and reproducible data pipelines.
- Promote modern Lakehouse architecture adoption.
- Support regulatory and compliance requirements.
