We are seeking a dedicated Associate Director to lead Enablement efforts across Client Management teams within the UAE and MENA region.
This role plays a pivotal part in championing standardised procedures and best practices to enhance operational excellence and risk management.
You will be instrumental in fostering a culture committed to zero operational loss and first-time right execution, acting as a subject matter expert and advisor.
Strategy & Enablement Standards
- Lead the consistent implementation of Department Operating Instructions (DOIs) and embed standard work methodologies across client-facing teams to ensure operational consistency and compliance.
- Promote a collaborative and consultative approach to risk mitigation by engaging with stakeholders to identify and address potential risk issues proactively.
- Drive the development of a transparent and open communication culture with auditors and regulators, ensuring engagement aligns with regulatory expectations.
- Elevate client management capabilities by embedding robust governance frameworks and risk reporting best practices.
- Serve as an expert resource, facilitating a culture focused on precision and operational integrity within the teams.
Business Collaboration
- Provide critical support for regulatory inspections and audit inquiries related to client management operations.
- Build and maintain effective cross-functional relationships with Business Units, Finance, Risk, Technology, and Operations to align objectives and enhance team performance.
- Undertake special projects and responsibilities as assigned by the Line Manager and Country Head, ensuring delivery of agreed outcomes.
Process Management – Credit Documentation
- Oversee and execute key credit fulfilment processes, including comprehensive BCA reviews, preparation and validation of facility documentation, and management of security documentation.
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of the Key Control Self-Assessment (KCSA) and Control Standard Test (CST) processes, maintaining strict adherence to internal control guidelines and deadlines.
- Monitor collateral valuations, document expirations, and ensure the issuance and discharge of credit limits are conducted seamlessly to support business needs.
Core Responsibilities
- In this role, you will undertake a wide range of responsibilities designed to support and enhance client management operations and compliance frameworks.
- Your key duties will include:
- **Strategic Enablement:** Lead initiatives to harmonise department operational procedures, ensuring teams consistently adhere to established standards and regulatory guidelines.
- **Risk Mitigation:** Partner closely with risk and compliance units to implement proactive strategies that identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks within client management processes.
- **Stakeholder Engagement:** Develop and nurture transparent communication channels with internal and external stakeholders including auditors and regulatory bodies to foster trust and compliance.
- **Operational Excellence:** Champion a culture of continuous improvement by providing training, guidance and support to Client Management teams aimed at enhancing accuracy, efficiency and first-time right outputs.
- **Credit Documentation Oversight:** Manage and execute critical credit documentation tasks, ensuring all legal and procedural standards are met and documentation lifecycle is properly maintained.
- **Reporting & Controls:** Oversee the implementation and monitoring of key controls such as KCSA and CST, ensuring timely completion and accurate reporting to uphold governance standards.
- **Cross-functional Collaboration:** Engage proactively with various business units, technology, finance, and operations to streamline workflows, solve complex challenges, and contribute to collective growth.
