We are currently looking for an
Associate Director – Community & Cultural Engagement
to lead and steward Amouage’s global community activations and cultural engagement strategy.
Your Mission
Working closely with the Head of Global Communications, this role acts as the global pillar head for community, publishing, events, and cultural activations.
It consolidates publishing, events and partnership initiatives under one coherent direction, ensuring that all engagement (online and offline) drives cultural relevance, advocacy, and long-term brand equity.
While operational excellence is essential, the role is defined by its ability to translate strategy into a globally consistent and culturally resonant ecosystem.
As the
Associate Director - Community & Cultural Engagement
you will represent Amouage in industry forums, cultural partnerships, and strategic engagements related to community and brand experience.
You will be the global pillar head for Amouage’s community ecosystem, social publishing, and cultural activations and whilst visible externally, the role does not serve as media spokesperson.
1. Global Community & Social Pillar Leadership
- Execute and steward Amouage’s global community strategy across digital and physical environments.
- Lead social publishing as a cultural expression of the House, ensuring clarity, consistency, and relevance.
- Drive growth targets for community expansion, engagement, and advocacy.
- Oversee the development of structured Friends of the House ecosystems and community chapters.
- Serve as the global reference point for community strategy across all markets.
2. Events, Activations & Cultural Engagement
- Lead global community-driven activations, salons, boutique openings, and in-market experiences.
- Champion activations that prioritize emotional resonance over visibility
- Partner with regional teams to maintain coherence across markets.
- Identify and cultivate strategic cultural partnerships aligned with the House’s positioning.
3. Publishing & Narrative Stewardship
- Consolidate global publishing under a unified editorial framework.
- Oversee tone of voice governance across markets and owned platforms.
- Ensure translation of creative concepts and press narratives into culturally aligned publishing outputs.
- Supervise publishing cadence and release strategy in partnership with Creative and PR.
4. Budget & Agency Oversight
- Hold responsibility for community-related budgets.
- Oversee external agencies supporting community, publishing, and activations.
- Ensure efficient allocation of resources aligned with growth objectives.
5. Partnerships & Advocacy Ecosystem
- Develop structured engagement frameworks for creators, cultural voices, and Friends of the House.
- Strengthen unpaid advocacy and long-term cultural relationships.
- Foster cross-market collaboration to build a globally coherent yet locally resonant ecosystem.
6. Leadership & Governance
- Lead and develop a cross-functional team across publishing, events, and community coordination.
- Provide governance standards and frameworks for markets and distributors.
- Serve as senior advisor internally on community and cultural engagement matters.
- Collaborate closely with Brand Development, Creative Studio, PR, Market Excellence.
7. External Representation
- Represent Amouage at relevant industry forums, panels, and cultural engagements relating to community and brand experience.
- Act as visible steward of the House’s community philosophy and cultural engagement strategy.
- Support executive leadership in articulating the role of community within brand growth.

Your Expertise
- 8–12 years of experience in luxury, or culturally driven brand environments, fragrance experience is mandatory
- Proven success building and activating global communities
- Demonstrated leadership of publishing and experiential ecosystems
- Strong Arabic and English preferred; deep GCC familiarity highly valued
- Experience managing budgets and agency partners
- Confident public presence, comfortable representing the House in industry settings
- Editorially disciplined, culturally intelligent, and strategically grounded
