The Associate Buyer role sits within sourcing, purchasing, and receiving procurement operations.
The role supports indirect business operations, including goods, services, equipment, maintenance, travel, and flexible workforce resources.
Procurement Responsibilities
- Source and purchase goods and services for indirect business operations.
- Conduct supplier selection, pricing and terms negotiation, and bid procedures.
- Process purchase orders and administer contracts.
- Receive goods and services and manage supplier performance.
- Support purchasing efficiency and process-streamlining improvements.
Administrative Scope
- Perform skilled technical, administrative, or operational tasks that support others and business operations.
- Work on tasks of limited scope and complexity under supervision.
- Apply standardized routines while making permitted departures from established processes to resolve problems.
- Escalate non-routine problems to a more experienced colleague or supervisor.
