Job Description

  • Assist in the inspection, testing, and commissioning of dry utilities systems including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing installations
  • Monitor daily construction activities related to utilities and prepare comprehensive site reports and documentation
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to ensure timely and compliant installation of utility systems
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and verify that all work adheres to project specifications, drawings, and applicable building codes
  • Analyze technical drawings and specifications to identify potential conflicts or discrepancies in utilities coordination
  • Maintain organized records of inspections, test results, certifications, and project correspondence
  • Support the Resident Engineer in resolving on site issues and implementing corrective actions
  • Participate in site meetings and communicate progress updates to project stakeholders
  • Assist in the preparation of as built documentation and project closeout materials
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on the construction site

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Solid understanding of dry utilities systems including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection
  • Knowledge of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) coordination and construction management practices
  • Proficiency with CAD and BIM software
  • Familiarity with UAE building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience in construction site inspection, quality assurance, and documentation
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Resident Engineer or similar on site engineering role
