The role is Assistant Manager - Internal Audit within an automotive business.
The position supports audit planning, assignments, reporting, consulting, and fraud investigations.
Audit Planning and Execution
- Assist with annual audit planning by assessing risk levels.
- Develop audit programs covering risks, controls, and tests.
- Conduct assignments evaluating internal controls and performance quality.
- Review approval processes against group policies and delegated authority.
- Ensure group assets are protected.
Audit Documentation and Reporting
- Document audit work in the Audit Management System.
- Prepare professional reports with findings, analyses, appraisals, recommendations, and audit information.
- Update the Audit Manager promptly on key findings.
- Discuss preliminary findings with staff and management to obtain concurrence.
- Prepare executive summaries, detailed reports, audit follow-up forms, and monthly summary reports.
- Support implementation follow-up for audit recommendations.
Audit Tools and Standards
- Use computer-based audit techniques, including Tableau and Power BI, to extend audit coverage.
- Perform audit work in accordance with the International Standards of Internal Auditing and group policies.
Consulting and Investigations
- Conduct consulting assignments requested by management.
- Investigate frauds and misappropriations to identify exposure, control weaknesses, responsible personnel, and preventive recommendations.
Requirements
- Perform audit work to professional standards conforming with the International Standards of Internal Auditing and group policies.
- Use computer-based audit techniques and tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
