Job Description

Manage pre- and post-contract commercial functions, including tender review, contract administration, financial control, and risk management, ensuring profitability and protection of company interests across the contract lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Review tender documents, contracts, and commercial terms, identifying key risks, deviations, and obligations.
  • Prepare commercial and contractual risk assessments, proposing mitigation strategies to protect company interests.
  • Evaluate payment terms, penalties, SLAs/KPIs, and liability clauses during tender stage.
  • Perform profitability and margin analysis at project commencement and during execution.
  • Track cost vs revenue performance, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and margin improvement
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities, including manpower cost planning and resource optimization
  • Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks throughout project execution
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle from award to close-out, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements
  • Conduct detailed post-award contract reviews to ensure clarity on scope, obligations, and risk area.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, amendments, and service agreements.
  • Handle contract extensions, renewals, and non-renewal communications with clients
  • Oversee invoicing and revenue recognition in line with contract terms
  • Manage variations and change orders, including substantiation and commercial evaluation
  • Ensure implementation and tracking of KPIs and SLAs in alignment with contractual requirements
  • Liaise with Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Legal teams to ensure seamless contract execution.
  • Support submission of commercial qualifications and deviations in coordination with internal stakeholders
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align commercial, operational, and financial objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in, engineering, quantity surveying, management, or similar.
  • Relevant 5 years’ of experience in similar role.
