Role Overview
• To support the overall development of the library.
• To make a strategic plan to acquire collections through purchases and special acquisitions both in Print on paper as well e-resources.
• Skills on negotiation with vendors and publishers for library resources.
• To plan and conduct tailor-made workshops for users.
• To provide research support services to the user community.
• Overall knowledge of IT systems including familiarity with library IT packages and systems.
• To develop the library’s on-line presence to promote the service and collections.
• Working knowledge of LMS software (Koha), digital library software’s (DSpace and EPrints).

Knowledge Resource Centre
The Knowledge Resource Centre is a network of people and libraries that enables knowledge exchange within and outside the Azim Premji Foundation.
The university library serves the information and knowledge needs of students, faculty, scholars, and civil society partners.
Qualification and experience
- A Master’s degree in Library and Information Science is required.
- Five years of experience in a reputed research or academic institution in India is required.
- Relevant experience with voluntary organisations, government, or other non-academic institutions is desirable.
Library development and collections
- Support the overall development of the library.
- Plan acquisitions of print and electronic collections through purchases and special acquisitions.
