Role Overview
The Assistant Income Auditor reviews and verifies financial reports to ensure proper authorization and compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify the Night Auditors' logbook, daily revenue report, and daily Food and Beverage report with supporting vouchers and trial balance.
- Distribute daily reports after obtaining Director of Finance or Financial Controller approval.
- Review the rate variance report to ensure the correct rate is applied.
- Review the city ledger and daily credit card transfers and pass them to Accounts Receivable.
- Review cashier overages and shortages, take appropriate action, and review Front Office foreign exchange rates when required.
- Conduct weekly float counts for all house fund holders and prepare a monthly float count summary.
Qualifications
- A degree in hotel management or accounting is required.
- At least one year of previous experience within a hotel environment is required.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and computer literacy are required.
- Knowledge of Opera, Micros, FBM, and SUN System is an asset.
