Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Review and verify the Night Auditors' logbook, daily revenue report, and daily Food and Beverage report with supporting vouchers and trial balance.
• Distribute daily reports after obtaining Director of Finance or Financial Controller approval.
• Review the rate variance report to ensure the correct rate is applied.
• Review the city ledger and daily credit card transfers and pass them to Accounts Receivable.
• Review cashier overages and shortages, take appropriate action, and review Front Office foreign exchange rates when required.
• Conduct weekly float counts for all house fund holders and prepare a monthly float count summary.

Qualifications

• A degree in hotel management or accounting is required.
• At least one year of previous experience within a hotel environment is required.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and computer literacy are required.
• Knowledge of Opera, Micros, FBM, and SUN System is an asset.
