About the Role
The Assistant Factory Manager supports the Factory Manager in managing daily operations of a wood manufacturing facility. The role requires strong hands-on experience in wood production, CNC operations, furniture design, shop drawing preparation, and design-to-production coordination.

Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily factory operations, manpower allocation, production schedules, and delivery priorities
- Coordinate workflow between CNC, cutting, edge banding, assembly, doors, cabinets, kitchens, wardrobes, and furniture production lines
- Design custom furniture pieces, including cabinets, wardrobes, kitchens, office furniture, wall cladding, and other bespoke joinery items
- Prepare detailed shop drawings, production drawings, cutting lists, material schedules, and installation details
- Prepare BOMs for each project, including boards, veneers, solid wood, hardware, accessories, glass, aluminum, adhesives, consumables, and finishing materials
- Prepare accurate cutting lists for MDF, plywood, melamine, veneer panels, solid wood, back panels, shelves, doors, drawers, and other joinery components
- Prepare hardware schedules for hinges, drawer runners, handles, locks, lift up systems, sliding systems, screws, brackets, and accessories
- Review architectural, interior design, and shop drawings before production to ensure dimensions, materials, finishes, details, hardware, and installation requirements are clear and practical
- Identify drawing discrepancies, missing details, clashes, material conflicts, and production risks, then coordinate required revisions
- Ensure approved drawings are suitable for manufacturing, CNC programming, procurement, assembly, packing, delivery, and site installation
- Coordinate between design, production, procurement, QC, and installation teams
- Prepare CNC ready files and coordinate CNC programs using ArtCAM and PolyBoard
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in wood manufacturing, joinery, or furniture production
- Proven experience in wooden doors, cabinets, kitchens, wardrobes, and custom furniture
- Strong ability to prepare and review shop drawings, cutting lists, BOMs, hardware schedules, and production details
- Strong understanding of furniture construction methods, joinery details, materials, hardware, finishes, and installation requirements
- Ability to identify technical errors and propose practical production solutions
- Strong hands on experience with CNC woodworking machines
- Good working knowledge of ArtCAM and PolyBoard
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD is required
- Good command of English, spoken and written

- Strong ability to prepare and review shop drawings, cutting lists, BOMs, hardware schedules, and production details.
- Strong understanding of furniture construction methods, joinery details, materials, hardware, finishes, and installation requirements.
- Ability to identify technical errors and propose practical production solutions before manufacturing starts.
- Strong hands on experience with CNC woodworking machines.
- Good working knowledge of ArtCAM and PolyBoard.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD is required; knowledge of other furniture design software is an advantage.
- Good command of English, spoken and written.
Reporting Line
- Reports to the Factory Manager.
