Responsibilities
- Assist in fabrication of heavy pressure vessels, columns, reactors, heat exchangers, and related equipment
- Perform nozzle cut outs accurately as per drawings and fabrication requirements
- Carry out chip back grinding to prepare weld edges and ensure proper joint quality
- Support fit up activities for long seams, circumferential seams, and nozzle installations
- Measure and calculate internal/external dimensions for fabrication accuracy
- Assist welders during fit up, alignment, and material handling

- Should be able to perform nozzle cut outs accurately as per drawings and fabrication requirements.
- Capable of carrying out chip back grinding to prepare weld edges and ensure proper joint quality.
- Able to support fit up activities for long seams, circumferential seams, and nozzle installations.
- Basic understanding of fabrication drawings, WPS requirements, and material markings.
- Skilled in using cutting tools, grinders, bevelling machines, and basic fabrication equipment.
- Able to measure and calculate internal/external dimensions for fabrication accuracy.
- Should assist welders during fit up, alignment, and material handling.
- Good understanding of safety procedures in heavy fabrication environments.
- Physically fit, with the ability to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and around heavy equipment.
- Experience in heavy industry or pressure vessel fabrication is preferred.
Qualification
