Position Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Design Manager to support the delivery of multidisciplinary design projects within our Lead Design Consultancy team.

The role involves assisting in the coordination and management of architectural, structural, MEP, and specialist disciplines across all project stages, ensuring high-quality, coordinated, and timely design delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management and coordination of multidisciplinary design projects from concept through IFC stages.
  • Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, and specialist consultants to ensure integrated design delivery.
  • Assist in monitoring project schedules, deliverables, and design progress.
  • Participate in design coordination meetings, technical workshops, and client discussions.
  • Support review of design submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve design and technical issues.
  • Assist in managing authority submissions and regulatory coordination.
  • Support tracking of RFIs, design changes, and project action items.
  • Contribute to maintaining project documentation and coordination workflows.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in multidisciplinary design projects.
  • Experience working within a Lead Design Consultancy environment.
  • Strong understanding of design coordination and project delivery processes.
  • Experience in commercial, residential, mixed-use, or infrastructure projects.
  • Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work within project deadlines.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience working on projects within the UAE or GCC region.
  • Familiarity with BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination processes.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced consultancy environment.
