Position Summary
Maintain hotel tools, appliances, equipment, utilities, and life-safety systems.
Respond to guest repair requests and support engineering operations, employee development, safety, and service standards.
Engineering Duties
- Install, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment.
- Calibrate controls, gauges, and meters and operate shut-off valves when required.
- Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies and maintain inventory and purchase order logs.
- Inspect tools, equipment, and machines and record work-related information using computers.
- Operate a power lift.
- Complete life-safety checks including fire-pump and generator run tests.
- Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems.
- Assist with disaster response protocols.
People and Guest Support
- Respond to guest repair requests and address guest service needs.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
- Develop positive working relationships and support the team in reaching common goals.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and employees.
