Role Overview
The Area Business Manager is responsible for pharmaceutical sales, territory growth, team productivity, customer development, and business operations.
Sales and Business Achievement
- Achieve monthly and annual area sales targets.
- Drive focus-brand and overall brand-wise target achievement.
- Improve business hygiene by minimizing returns and expiries.
- Maintain accurate forecasting and coordinate product availability and distribution.
- Ensure timely collection and achievement of receivable targets.
Customer and Market Development
- Develop and manage core customers and key opinion leaders.
- Maintain customer coverage and strengthen KOL relationships through personal visits.
- Identify core customers for key products and address business gaps.
- Expand market coverage and identify new growth opportunities.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and motivate Field Officers.
- Conduct joint field work to improve product knowledge and selling skills.
- Drive discipline, teamwork, engagement, and retention within the team.
- Plan manpower requirements and support timely vacancy filling.
