Applied Technologies Lab Assistant

Assist faculty with preparation of materials, tools, and equipment prior to lab sessions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory work areas, tools, and equipment. Assist with cutting, preparing, or staging materials for student lab activities under faculty supervision. Help organize and inventory lab supplies, materials, and consumables. Support instructors with general lab setup and breakdown before and after classes. Assist with maintaining safe lab environments by following all safety procedures and reporting any concerns to faculty or staff. Help ensure lab spaces remain organized and ready for instructional use. Perform other related lab support tasks including tutoring or learning support as assigned by faculty or program leadership. Currently enrolled in an Applied Technologies program at Central Carolina Community College, such as Welding, Industrial Systems, Construction, Electrical Systems, Machining, or a related field; completion of at least one semester of coursework preferred; or equivalent work experience.

Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and shop/lab safety procedures.

Ability to follow instructions and work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and students.

Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic.
