Applied AI Engineer

Required Skills

• Databricks, including SQL, Delta Lake, Model Serving, and Unity Catalog.
• LLM APIs, LLM agent development, prompt engineering, and RAG workflows.
• Strong SQL and Python or equivalent programming experience.
• APIs, Git, application deployment, data exploration and analysis, and ETL/ELT workflows.

Experience and Education

• Bachelor's degree in a listed technical or quantitative discipline or a related field.
• Three to six years of experience developing complex applications.
• At least two years of AI/ML experience.
• Experience with fine-tuning models, vector databases, embeddings, evaluation frameworks, AI observability, and production LLM application architectures.
• Experience with CRM and/or CPQ systems is strongly preferred.
• Commercial or revenue operations experience is advantageous.

Domain Experience

• Manufacturing analytics and quality analytics with root-cause analysis.
• ERP systems such as Syteline, Infor, SAP, Oracle, or Epicor.

Working Style

Travel and Work Environment

• The position is California based in the Los Angeles and/or Orange County area.
• Approximately 25% travel is required for sales engagement, working sessions, and deployments, with higher intensity during build and launch phases.
• The role may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, extreme heat, electrical shock risks, vibration, and moderate noise.
• The role requires walking, sitting, standing, using hands, occasional climbing or balancing, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 35 pounds.
