Role overview
Contribute to enterprise API initiatives that connect applications, data, and services across complex environments.
Build reliable, secure, and governed integration solutions while partnering with architecture, development, QA, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and maintain IBM API Connect APIs and RESTful APIs.
- Manage API development, testing, deployment, versioning, publishing, monitoring, and retirement.
- Configure gateway policies for authentication, authorization, security, routing, rate limiting, throttling, and traffic management.
- Implement OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS/SSL, OpenAPI, and Swagger-based API solutions.
- Integrate APIs with applications, databases, middleware, external systems, REST, SOAP, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, and XML.
- Troubleshoot API issues, monitor performance and availability, and support production incidents.
- Prepare specifications, technical documentation, deployment documents, and support procedures.
- Participate in testing, defect resolution, code reviews, design reviews, and API governance.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
