Job Overview

  • Boeing Global Service is seeking an Apache Mechanical Technician General to join the AH 64 Qatar Air Force Maintenance Augmentation Team (MAT) located at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.

Position Responsibilities

  • Performs AH 64E aircraft maintenance tasks and air crew member duties as required using QAF specific manuals.
  • Removes and installs aircraft systems and components including engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, mechanical flight controls.
  • Prepares aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks.
  • Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance actions.
  • Uses common measuring tools, precision measuring gauges and alignment fixtures.
  • Performs aircraft and related components routine and special inspections.
  • Performs maintenance operational checks.
  • Diagnoses and solves problems with aircraft subsystems using special tools and equipment.
  • Uses and performs operator maintenance on tools, special tools, AGSE and PGSE.
  • Prepares aircraft maintenance forms and records; provides OJT, coaching, and mentorship to QAF personnel.
  • Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading components.
  • Coordinates assembly, disassembly or overhaul; configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience with AH 64D or AH 64E aircraft.
  • 3+ years of experience with ULLS A(E) and ELAS entries.
  • Successfully completed U.S. Government armed forces aircraft maintenance course or civilian equivalent training.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Airframe and Powerplant license or equivalent.
  • Army Service School Instructor or civilian equivalent instructing experience.
  • Prior experience or qualified in another aviation maintenance field.
  • Prior experience working in the Southwest Asia/desert region.

  • This position is for 1st shift.

Additional Information

  • This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Al Udeid, Qatar. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
