Job Overview

  • We are looking for a responsible, compassionate, and experienced Animal / Pet Handler to join our team in Dubai.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safely handle, restrain, and transport animals as required for examinations, treatments, grooming, or other procedures.
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary nurses with safe animal handling and restraint.
  • Feed, exercise, and provide basic daily care to animals according to established schedules and instructions.
  • Monitor animals for changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, or general condition and report any concerns to the veterinary team.
  • Maintain clean, hygienic, and comfortable animal housing, kennels, cages, and handling areas.
  • Follow proper infection control, sanitation, and animal welfare procedures.
  • Assist with the safe movement and transfer of animals within the facility.
  • Maintain animal handling equipment and ensure that all tools and areas are clean and ready for use.
  • Follow safety protocols to minimize stress and prevent injury to animals, colleagues, and visitors.
  • Provide calm and professional support when dealing with pet owners and members of the veterinary team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience as an Animal Handler, Pet Handler, Kennel Assistant, Veterinary Assistant, Animal Caretaker, or similar role is preferred.
  • Practical experience handling dogs, cats, and other domestic animals.
  • Basic understanding of animal behavior, welfare, hygiene, and safe restraint techniques.
  • Physically fit and able to safely lift, carry, and control animals when required.
  • Patient, attentive, responsible, and comfortable working with animals of different sizes and temperaments.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
  • Veterinary clinic or animal hospital experience is an advantage.
