About the Role
GAL is seeking an experienced Aircraft Technician III to inspect, maintain, and repair aircraft at an airbase in Abu Dhabi. The role involves phase inspections, crew chief duties, and supervising maintenance personnel.

- Service aircraft and perform ground handling, aircraft configuration, and maintain support equipment and special tools
- Perform on and off equipment inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
- Conduct effective OJT to qualify assigned RAFO maintenance personnel
- Perform as instructor, OJT trainer, Quality Assurance, phase dock chief and shop chief
- Work closely with RAFO Trade Manager supporting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
- Oversee and accept work performed by RAFO Engineering
- Debrief Aircrews, perform Launch and Recovery and EOR
- Supervise installation, repair, testing, or modification of aircraft
Requirements
- Technical Aviation diploma or skill level 7 certified avionics technician
- Minimum of 6 8 years experience in Phase Inspections area at an Airbase
- Knowledge of aircraft launching and recovering processes
- Knowledge of basic maintenance processes and procedures
- Understanding of jet engine structure, components and functions

Overview
- Responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing aircraft. Primary duties are phase inspections. Performs crew chief duties and all aspects of both phase and flight line Airframe and Powerplant General Maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Service aircraft and perform all aspects of ground handling, aircraft configuration and maintaining support equipment and special tools.
- Perform on and off equipment inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Conducts effective OJT to qualify a cadre of assigned RAFO maintenance personnel to assume responsibility for the maintenance organization as directed by RAFO Headquarters.
- Perform in the capacity of instructor, OJT trainer, Quality Assurance, phase dock chief and shop chief.
- Work closely with RAFO Trade Manager, supporting all required scheduled and unscheduled maintenance working both Phase and Flight line maintenance tasks.
- Oversee and accept the work performed by RAFO Engineering.
- Debrief Aircrews Perform Launch and Recovery and EOR.
- Supervising functions such as performing or supervising functions involving installation, repair, testing, or modification of aircraft.
Qualification
- Technical Aviation diploma or skill level 7 certified avionics technician.
