About the Role

- Build and ship AI agents, APIs, and applications on Affirm's internal platform (Snowpark Container Services / Quicksilver)
- Turn messy business requirements from People Operations stakeholders into production systems
- Navigate Affirm's security and data governance infrastructure to get AI systems running safely on people data
- Design reliability infrastructure for multi model LLM services
- Work directly with non technical stakeholders to scope problems and make architecture decisions
- Contribute to the team's shared Python codebase, dbt models, and Snowflake infrastructure
- Own what you build; diagnose and fix production issues

- Systems thinking and technical architecture skills
- Builder disposition: created a system, tool, or platform from nothing
- Ability to work across the technical business boundary

About The Team
- People Tech & Analytics (PTA) builds and owns the data, AI, and technology infrastructure for Affirm's People function.
- The team runs like a product engineering group embedded in HR, owning the full stack: data ingestion, transformation, dashboards, AI tools, and production applications deployed on Snowflake.
About The Role
- This is a hands on engineering role building, deploying, and maintaining AI powered systems for the People function.
- You will work closely with partners across the People function to turn rough applications into production systems.
What You'll Do
- Build and ship AI agents, APIs, and applications on Affirm's internal platform (Snowpark Container Services / Quicksilver).
- Turn messy business requirements from People Operations stakeholders into production systems.
- Navigate Affirm's existing security and data governance infrastructure to get AI systems running safely on people data.
- Design reliability infrastructure for multi model LLM services.
- Work directly with non technical stakeholders to scope problems, make architecture decisions, and give honest assessments.
- Contribute to the team's shared Python codebase, dbt models, and Snowflake infrastructure.
- Own what you build; when something breaks in production, you diagnose and fix it.

Pay and Benefits
- CAN base pay range per year: CAD 173,000 CAD 233,000.
- Total compensation may include equity rewards, monthly stipends, and benefits including 100% subsidized medical coverage.
