Position Summary
Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
Identify guest needs, determine suitable room types, and verify availability and rates.
Provide information about hotel facilities, services, accommodations, guarantees, special rates, and cancellation policies.
Reservation Duties
- Accommodate and document special requests from guests.
- Use sales techniques to maximize revenue.
- Enter and retrieve data in the reservation system.
- Apply the correct codes and rates for complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel-agent inspection rates, and wholesale reservations.
- Follow escalation procedures for guest concerns.
Service and Compliance
- Follow company policies, quality assurance expectations, and service standards.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance and protect confidential, proprietary, and guest information.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and respond appreciatively.
- Use clear and professional language, answer telephones appropriately, and maintain positive working relationships.
