The position involves advanced analytics and data science work for evidence-based decision making in public and private sector organizations.
Working Model
- Hybrid working requires attendance in the office or on client site for a minimum of two days per week.
- Actual attendance may vary by role or assignment, including up to five days per week on a client site.
- The role includes live in-person whiteboarding sessions and asynchronous communication through Teams.
Role Responsibilities
- Work to agile practices and collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders on client and internal projects.
- Use technical skills to solve client problems and develop analytical solutions.
- Conduct analysis, design and develop models, and support data-centric decision making.
- Work across problem formulation, exploratory data analysis, model design, build, testing, and handover.
- Lead or deliver solutions involving advanced analytics, data science, algorithm development, operational research, data engineering, cloud, visualization, or dashboards.
- Communicate analytical approaches and findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Contribute to client presentations and data and behavioral science propositions.
Technology Stack
- The role may use Databricks, Python, PySpark, R, Excel, Palantir Foundry, and Power BI.
- Technology choices vary according to the specific task, project, and client assignment.
Essential Requirements
- Degree, master's degree, or PhD in data science, mathematics, operational research, physics, or statistics.
- Experience conducting analysis for evidence-based decision making and developing analytical models.
- Experience translating client needs into analytical approaches and solutions.
- Experience across the full analytics and modeling lifecycle.
- Experience with Python, SQL, Excel, and data visualization solutions.
- Experience leading or delivering analytical, data engineering, cloud, visualization, or dashboard solutions.
- An inquisitive, problem-solving mindset is required.
Desirable Experience
- Stakeholder management, project management, and communication experience are advantageous.
- Experience in the software or product development lifecycle for analytical solutions is advantageous.
- Consulting, advisory, client presentation, or data and behavioral science proposition experience is advantageous.
Security and Assessment
- Some UK roles may require security clearance and baseline personnel security checks.
- The assessment process may include recruiter discussion, competency or technical interviews, and a final case study discussion.
