Event Coordination

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their catering needs, including menu selection, dietary requirements, and event details.
  • Coordinate with chefs, kitchen staff, and event planners to plan and execute catering events.
  • Manage event timelines, ensuring timely delivery and setup of catering services.
  • Address any issues or concerns that arise during events, providing prompt solutions and ensuring client satisfaction.

Administrative Support

  • Manage and maintain accurate records of catering contracts, invoices, and client information.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, contracts, and pricing estimates for catering services.
  • Coordinate with clients regarding event changes, updates, and additional requirements.
  • Handle communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure effective information flow.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of catering supplies and equipment.

Staff Coordination and Training

  • Recruit, train, and supervise catering staff, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Coordinate staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for events.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to catering staff.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in food service catering or event coordination.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, vendors, and staff.
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills to address issues in a timely manner.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite and catering software.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by catering schedules.
