- Collaborate with clients to understand their catering needs, including menu selection, dietary requirements, and event details
- Coordinate with chefs, kitchen staff, and event planners to plan and execute catering events
- Manage event timelines, ensuring timely delivery and setup of catering services
- Address any issues or concerns that arise during events, providing prompt solutions and ensuring client satisfaction
- Manage and maintain accurate records of catering contracts, invoices, and client information
- Assist in preparing proposals, contracts, and pricing estimates for catering services
- Coordinate with clients regarding event changes, updates, and additional requirements
- Handle communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure effective information flow
- Manage inventory and procurement of catering supplies and equipment
- Recruit, train, and supervise catering staff, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities
- Coordinate staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for events
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to catering staff
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service catering or event coordination
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple events simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, vendors, and staff
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills to address issues in a timely manner
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite and catering software
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by catering schedules
