- Manage daily accounting operations including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and cash management
- Oversee month end, quarter end, and year end closing activities
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies
- Analyze financial data, investigate variances, and provide recommendations to improve financial accuracy and operational performance
- Establish and monitor internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures
- Coordinate internal and external audit activities, support tax compliance and statutory reporting
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team
- Collaborate with finance leadership, operations, procurement, human resources, and other business functions

Role Description
- The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the organization's accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and cash management.
- Overseeing month end, quarter end, and year end closing activities, ensuring financial transactions are accurately recorded and completed within established timelines.
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements, management reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules while ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
- Analyzing financial data, investigating variances, and providing recommendations to improve financial accuracy and operational performance.
- Establishing and monitoring internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures to safeguard organizational assets and strengthen financial governance.
- Coordinating internal and external audit activities, supporting tax compliance and statutory reporting, and implementing corrective actions and process improvements.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the accounting team by promoting high standards of performance, accountability, and continuous professional development.
- Collaborating closely with finance leadership, operations, procurement, human resources, and other business functions to support budgeting, financial planning, business initiatives, and organizational decision making.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, general ledger management, financial reconciliation, budgeting, taxation, and internal control frameworks.
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, spreadsheet applications, financial reporting tools, and data analysis software.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills with the ability to interpret financial information, identify risks, resolve accounting issues, and implement effective financial controls.
- Strong leadership, people management, and stakeholder collaboration skills with the ability to supervise accounting teams, manage multiple priorities, and build effective working relationships.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to management, auditors, regulators, and non financial stakeholders.
