Accountant (Russian Speaker)

Job Summary

Location and Employment

• The position is located in Dubai, UAE.
• The job type is full-time.
• Standard business working hours apply, with occasional overtime during peak reporting, audit, or financial closing periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, record journal entries, and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and reconciliation.
• Reconcile intra-group balances and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other financial statements.
• Support tax return preparation and compliance with applicable tax regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Provide financial information and analysis for business decision-making.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and explanations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and company policies.
• Stay updated on accounting regulations and tax requirements.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• At least five years of relevant accounting or finance experience is required.
• Strong practical knowledge of Russian GAAP and IFRS is required.
• Proficiency in 1C accounting software is required.
• Fluency in Russian and English is mandatory.
• Strong accounting knowledge, analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, communication skills, and task-prioritization ability are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and other financial functions, are preferred.
• Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting is preferred.
• Experience in a multinational or international business environment is preferred.
