- Execute and monitor all accounting and financial activities
- Prepare and develop the Chart of Accounts
- Prepare the Trial Balance and verify accuracy of account balances
- Record, review, and archive journal entries
- Monitor and settle financial advances and employee imprests
- Record company assets and oversee physical inventory counts
- Prepare payroll related financial statements
- Issue receipts and invoices
- Prepare year end accounts and support audit
- Prepare periodic accounting and financial reports for management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in accounting and financial operations
- Good knowledge of accounting standards and relevant financial regulations
- Experience in preparing journal entries, trial balances, year end accounts, and accounting reports
- Proficiency in accounting systems and ERP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications

Job Purpose
- The Accountant is responsible for executing and monitoring accounting and financial activities, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and records, maintaining compliance with approved policies and procedures, supporting the preparation of financial reports and year end accounts,
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and monitor all accounting and financial activities.
- Prepare and develop the Chart of Accounts in alignment with business activities.
- Prepare the Trial Balance and verify accuracy of account balances.
- Record, review, and archive journal entries.
- Monitor and settle financial advances and employee imprests.
- Record company assets, oversee physical inventory counts, and update asset records.
- Prepare payroll related financial statements.
- Assume full responsibility for organizing accounting books and documents.
- Contribute to reviewing contracts from financial perspective.
- Issue receipts and invoices.
- Receive and follow up on incoming checks.
- Verify accuracy of financial procedures and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in accounting and financial operations.
- Good knowledge of accounting standards and relevant financial regulations.
- Experience in preparing journal entries, trial balances, year end accounts, and accounting reports.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and ERP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
