Role Overview

Payroll and Expense Duties

• Analyze monthly payroll changes and reports.
• Recalculate payroll entitlements, investigate payroll differences, and prepare payroll payment records and invoices.
• Review employee claims, end-of-service benefits, temporary staff payments, education claims, allowances, and other employee expenses according to policy.

Reconciliation and Coordination

• Reconcile payroll-generated reports with GPSSA billing records, DEWS schedules, and other statutory or third-party benefit payments.
• Validate employee contribution data and payment amounts.
• Respond to employee and stakeholder queries about payroll, claims, and employee expenses.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, business units, and external parties to resolve operational issues.

Qualifications and Experience

• Higher Diploma or Diploma Degree, preferably in accounting.
• Six months to three years of relevant experience and one to five years of overall experience.
• Knowledge of employee payroll expenses, including employee claims, end-of-service benefits, pensions, and account reconciliation.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and accounting, including the ability to identify non-compliance.
