About the Role
Trove Restaurant and Cafe LLC is seeking an Accountant to support the finance manager in daily operations. The role involves bookkeeping, reconciliations, invoicing, payroll, and audit participation.

Responsibilities
- Undertake clerical tasks such as typing, filing, making phone calls, handling mail, and basic bookkeeping
- Help the accounts and finance manager maintain finance operations
- Collect and record financial information, ensuring account balances are up to date
- Work with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers, and journals
- Prepare statutory accounts
- Calculate and check payments, amounts, and records for correctness
- Manage petty cash transactions
- Control credit and chase debt
- Reconcile finance accounts, direct debits, and invoices
- Create and update expense reports
- Process reimbursement forms and prepare bank deposits
- Enter financial transactions into internal databases
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field
- 2 3 years of working experience in accounting
- Experience working in the restaurant industry
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly spreadsheets and accounting software
- Attention to details, honesty, and integrity
- Understanding of data privacy standards

Job Responsibilities

- Helping the accounts and finance manager to maintain the finance operation and keep it running smoothly.
- Helping the accounts and finance manager in dealing with internal and external customers and agencies.
- Collecting and recording financial information and making sure that account balances are up to date.
- Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers, and journals.
- Preparing statutory accounts.
- Calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct.
- Sorting out incoming and outgoing daily post and answering any queries.
- Managing petty cash transactions.
- Controlling credit and chasing debt.
- Reconciling finance accounts and direct debits.
- Reconciling invoices and identifying discrepancies.
Job Qualifications
- Has Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 2 3 years of working experience in the same field.
- Experience working in the restaurant industry.
- Excellent mathematical skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly with spreadsheets and accounting software.
- Attention to details, honesty, and integrity.
- Understanding of data privacy standards.
