Accountant

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, and financial transactions.
• Manage and reconcile petty cash on a daily and monthly basis.
• Process and monitor payments for labor suppliers, service providers, and vendors.
• Record, verify, and reconcile retail sales transactions and cash collections.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow activities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist with budget preparation and expense monitoring.
• Reconcile supplier and customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and accounting standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requirements.
• Prepare management reports and provide financial insights for decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of accounting experience.
• Proven experience working in a family business environment.
• Strong experience in petty cash management, labor supplier accounting, retail transaction reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation, and VAT filing and compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in retail, trading, FMCG, hospitality, or family-owned business groups is preferred.
• Understanding of cash management and high-volume transaction environments is preferred.
• ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting qualifications are advantageous.

Compensation and Employment

• Employment type is full-time.
• Pay is listed from AED 1.00 per month.

• The work location is in person in Dubai, UAE.
