Job Summary
The Academic Administrative Support staff member is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the academic department to ensure smooth daily operations.
The role includes coordinating academic activities, maintaining records, supporting faculty and students, and handling communication and documentation efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the academic department and faculty members.
- Prepare and maintain academic records, reports, and documentation.
- Coordinate meetings, schedules, and appointments for academic staff.
- Assist in preparing class schedules, examination timetables, and academic calendars.
- Handle student inquiries and provide administrative assistance when required.
- Maintain accurate filing systems for student and faculty records.
- Support the onboarding process for new faculty members and students.
- Coordinate correspondence, emails, and internal communications.
- Assist in organizing academic events, workshops, and meetings.
- Prepare presentations, letters, and official documents as requested.
- Ensure confidentiality of academic and student information.
- Perform other administrative duties assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Education, or related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in academic administration or administrative support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in educational institutions or universities.
- Knowledge of academic systems and student record management.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions
- Full-time position.
- Office-based environment.
- May require flexibility during examination periods or academic events.
