Responsibilities
- Report to the skipper and take part in all activities delegated
- Stand with the skipper in the wheel house to maintain a good lookout as per collision regulations
- Participate in all emergencies and drills
- Respond to all emergencies and act as per given duties
- Report any unsafe activities to skipper
- Participate in all cleaning duties and ensure vessel is ready for receiving passengers
- Wash the boat externally after each trip and thoroughly at end of each shift
- Complete passenger manifest prior to departure and inform skipper
- Ensure lost and found items are handed over to skipper
- Proper handing over to next shift indicating all issues encountered
- Maintain personal hygiene and uniform
- Responsible for proper and safe berthing and un berthing procedures and line handling
Requirements
- Valid AB Seaman Certification (Valid CDC with AB (II/4) qualification / Valid STCW / Valid Medical report)
- Proven experience as an AB Seaman, preferably in hospitality or marine tourism
- Basic understanding of vessel navigation and seamanship
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency response protocols
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions

Overview
- Minor Hotels is an international hotel owner, operator and investor with a diverse portfolio of over 530 properties.
- As an AB Seaman, you will assist the skipper and ensure vessel operations.
Responsibilities
- Reports to the skipper
- Takes part in all activities delegated by the skipper
- Stands with the skipper in the wheel house at every trip to maintain a good lookout as per collision regulations
- Participates in all emergencies and drills

- Reports any unsafe activities to skipper
- Participate in all cleaning duties. Ensures that vessel is ready for receiving passengers at all times
- Ensures that there are enough cleaning materials on board
- Washes the boat externally after each trip and thoroughly at the end of each shift
- Ensures that all luggage compartments are clean and tidy at all times
- Completes the passenger manifest prior to departure and ensures the skipper is informed
- Ensures all lost and found items to be safely handed over to the skipper
Qualifications
- Valid AB Seaman Certification. (Valid CDC with AB (II/4) qualification /Valid STCW/Valid Medical (fit to work at sea) report)
- Proven experience as an AB Seaman, preferably in a hospitality or marine tourism setting.
- Basic understanding of vessel navigation and seamanship.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
