Role Overview

  • The Effector Guidance Electronics (EGE) department is responsible for all aspects of these subsystems design, test and production.
  • Join our Power Electronics & Controls (PE&C) team with the skills and passion to engineer complex power systems, analog design, linear control systems and/or motor control systems.
  • A successful candidate is one who can participate in a multi disciplined team, properly apply engineering tools & processes and effectively communicate with others.

What You Will Do

  • Design, analyze (including thermal considerations), simulate, and test power conversion circuitry potentially utilizing any standard non isolated power conversion topologies (buck, boost, buck boost) including modules and discrete designs.
  • Guide Electronic Computer Aided Design (ECAD) personnel through PWB layout of power circuitry and technical drawing creation.
  • Perform design work within the bounds of a given schedule.
  • Present reviews of technical data to program leadership and technical staff.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Experience in low level electronics components such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes and/or transistors, etc and the ability to design with them.
  • Experience with any of the following non isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck boost.
  • Experience with design, analysis, and test with analog electronic design and analysis, including FET, BJT, and/or Op amp circuits.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Lab experience specific to power electronics and/or controls electronics.
  • Demonstrated use of software tools for electrical circuit simulation and/or printed circuit board layout.
  • Understanding of fundamental power conversion concepts, components, and techniques.
  • Basic understanding of commonly used power converter and/or motor drive control schemes.
  • Familiarity with circuit simulators such as SIMPLIS, Saber and/or analysis tool Mathcad.
