Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and manage MEP BIM models with primary focus on Mechanical systems
- Produce BIM deliverables including layouts, sections, schedules, details, coordinated drawings, and quantity take offs
- Model and coordinate Mechanical systems such as HVAC, Chilled Water, Air Distribution, Ventilation, Smoke Management, District Cooling, etc.
- Ensure project deliverables comply with client requirements, project specifications, and BIM standards
- Review Mechanical BIM models and deliverables for accuracy and compliance
- Conduct model audits and quality checks before submission
- Coordinate Mechanical BIM models with other disciplines and participate in coordination meetings
- Support clash detection activities and resolve discipline specific coordination issues
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to BIM Engineers and BIM Modelers
- Assist in developing BIM standards, templates, families, libraries, and workflows
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 4 7 years of BIM experience in MEP projects with specialization in Mechanical systems
- Experience on commercial, residential, mixed use, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, aviation, transportation, data center, or infrastructure projects
- UAE/GCC project experience highly preferred
- Strong understanding of Mechanical systems and BIM based project delivery processes
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks, ACC/BIM 360, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of BIM Execution Plans, Common Data Environment, ISO 19650, Clash Detection, LOD, and MEP coordination workflows

Position Summary
- iTech Engineering Consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior BIM Engineer – MEP (Mechanical Specialist) to join its Digital Engineering team.
- The candidate will develop, manage, and review MEP BIM models with a primary focus on Mechanical systems while supporting multidisciplinary coordination.
- The role requires strong expertise in Mechanical BIM modeling, MEP coordination, digital project delivery, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities BIM Modeling & Project Delivery
- Develop, maintain, and manage MEP BIM models with a primary focus on Mechanical systems.
- Produce BIM deliverables including layouts, sections, schedules, details, coordinated drawings, and quantity take offs.
- Model and coordinate Mechanical systems including HVAC, Chilled Water, Air Distribution, Ventilation, Smoke Management, District Cooling, Mechanical Plant Rooms, Equipment Rooms, Pumping Systems, Fuel Systems, and Medical Gas Systems.
- Ensure project deliverables comply with client requirements, project specifications, and BIM standards.
- Support project teams through design development, coordination, construction documentation, and project delivery phases.
Technical Review & Quality Assurance
- Review Mechanical BIM models and deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Conduct model audits and quality checks before submission.
- Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans, company BIM standards, naming conventions, and LOD requirements.
- Identify and resolve technical modeling issues and workflow challenges.
MEP Coordination Support
- Coordinate Mechanical BIM models with Electrical, Plumbing, Architectural, Structural, Civil, and Infrastructure disciplines.
- Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings and model review workshops.
- Support clash detection activities and assist in resolving discipline specific coordination issues.
- Collaborate with BIM Coordinators to ensure integration of Mechanical systems within federated project models.
- Review spatial coordination requirements related to plant rooms, service routes, equipment clearances, and maintenance access.
Team Support & Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to BIM Engineers and BIM Modelers.
- Review and support the work of junior team members.
- Assist in developing BIM standards, templates, families, libraries, and workflows.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of BIM processes and digital delivery methodologies.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare BIM documentation, model registers, coordination records, and project reports.
- Support quantity extraction, data validation, and model based reporting activities.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned deliverables and project milestones.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4–7 years of BIM experience in MEP projects with specialization in Mechanical systems.
- Experience on commercial, residential, mixed use, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, aviation, transportation, data center, or infrastructure projects.
- UAE/GCC project experience is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of Mechanical systems and BIM based project delivery processes.
