About the Role
iTech Engineering Consultancy is hiring a BIM Engineer – MEP for a full-time role in Abu Dhabi. The engineer will develop and coordinate BIM models for Mechanical and Electrical systems, produce deliverables, and support project coordination.

- Develop and maintain BIM models for Mechanical and Electrical building services systems
- Produce BIM deliverables including plans, sections, elevations, schedules, coordinated layouts, and quantity take offs
- Model and coordinate MEP systems such as HVAC, Ventilation, Chilled Water, Power Distribution, Lighting, Fire Alarm, ELV, ICT, etc.
- Ensure BIM models comply with project requirements, company standards, and client BIM protocols
- Support project teams during design development, coordination, and construction documentation stages
- Create and update BIM models based on design information and project specifications
- Generate construction documentation directly from BIM models
- Coordinate Mechanical and Electrical BIM models with other disciplines and participate in model reviews
- Assist in identifying and resolving clashes and coordination issues
- Perform self checks and model reviews before submissions
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 2 5 years of BIM experience in MEP projects
- Experience on commercial, residential, mixed use, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, aviation, or infrastructure projects
- UAE/GCC project experience preferred
- Understanding of Mechanical and Electrical building services systems
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks, ACC/BIM 360, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of BIM Modeling, BEP, CDE, Clash Detection, LOD, ISO 19650 fundamentals, and Quantity Extraction

Position Summary
- iTech Engineering Consultancy is seeking a motivated BIM Engineer – MEP (Electrical & Mechanical) to join its Digital Engineering team.
- The candidate will develop, maintain, and coordinate BIM models for Mechanical, Electrical, and related building services systems.
- The role focuses on BIM production, model development, and supporting project coordination under the guidance of Senior BIM Engineers.
Key Responsibilities BIM Modeling & Project Delivery
- Develop and maintain BIM models for Mechanical and Electrical building services systems.
- Produce BIM deliverables including plans, sections, elevations, schedules, coordinated layouts, and quantity take offs.
- Model and coordinate MEP systems including HVAC, Ventilation, Chilled Water, Mechanical Equipment, Power Distribution, Lighting, Small Power, Fire Alarm, ELV, ICT, and Structured Cabling.
- Ensure BIM models comply with project requirements, company standards, and client BIM protocols.
- Support project teams during design development, coordination, and construction documentation stages.
Model Development & Documentation
- Create and update BIM models based on design information, engineering requirements, and project specifications.
- Generate construction documentation directly from BIM models.
- Prepare schedules, quantities, and reports as required by project teams.
- Maintain model accuracy, consistency, and compliance throughout project delivery.
Coordination Support
- Coordinate Mechanical and Electrical BIM models with Architectural, Structural, Civil, Plumbing, and other disciplines.
- Participate in model reviews and coordination meetings.
- Assist in identifying and resolving clashes and coordination issues.
- Support Senior BIM Engineers and BIM Coordinators during multidisciplinary coordination activities.
Quality Assurance
- Perform self checks and model reviews before submissions.
- Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans, company BIM standards, naming conventions, and LOD requirements.
- Report technical issues and contribute to solutions that improve model quality and efficiency.
- Maintain proper file management and documentation practices.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the development of BIM templates, libraries, and standards.
- Stay updated with BIM technologies, software enhancements, and industry best practices.
- Support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives within the BIM team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–5 years of BIM experience in MEP projects.
- Experience on commercial, residential, mixed use, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, aviation, or infrastructure projects.
- UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.
- Understanding of Mechanical and Electrical building services systems.
