DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for all yard operations, safety, and housekeeping
- Ensure proper procedures are followed for accessing and departing the yard
- Ensure high level of customer service both for truck drivers and customers
- Direct and control all activities in the yard
- Maintain high level of product quality
- Work towards achieving company objectives regarding productivity, customer service
- Maintain a clean organized yard
- Ensure adherence to all company and safety policies and procedures
- Ensure a positive and safe work environment
- Other duties as required
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Reliable, ability to carry out tasks correctly while under pressure
- Be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised
- Team player, adaptable, energetic with a positive professional attitude
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Problem solver and able to deal with product and people issues that may occur
- Strong communication skills
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Minimum grade 12 education required
Previous Yard experience - min 2 years
Knowledge of plumbing and/or electrical industry products will be considered an asset
Forklift Experience an asset
First Aid Certificate an asset
