Daily Workshop Operations
- Manage the complete daily workflow for scheduled and walk-in vehicles.
- Review open job cards, plan workload, and allocate jobs according to technician skill, workload, and promised delivery time.
- Monitor each vehicle from receiving through work allocation, execution, quality control, and delivery.
- Ensure no vehicle is unattended or delayed without a valid reason.
Job Card and ERP Control
- Ensure no work starts without an approved job card or quotation.
- Verify that requested and additional work is properly recorded.
- Ensure technicians follow the approved scope of work.
- Monitor ERP job-card statuses and review pending, queued, completed, and delayed jobs.
Workshop Team Management
- Manage technicians, helpers, supervisors or foremen, and other workshop staff.
- Assign daily responsibilities and monitor attendance, punctuality, discipline, and productivity.
- Conduct morning briefings, communicate priorities, and identify performance or training needs.
- Maintain accountability for mistakes, damage, delays, and repeat work.
Quality Control
- Ensure workmanship meets Elite Shine standards.
- Do not release vehicles without proper final quality control.
- Confirm approved work is completed and vehicles are clean and presentable before handover.
- Track repeat jobs and comebacks, investigate causes, and reduce rework and complaints.
Delivery and Turnaround
- Monitor promised delivery dates and times.
- Identify potential delays early and inform the Service Advisor when delivery may be affected.
- Improve workshop turnaround time without compromising quality.
- Maintain an overdue-vehicle list with reasons and action plans.
Materials, Parts, and Costs
- Coordinate with purchasing and stores for required materials and parts.
- Prevent unnecessary material consumption and wastage.
- Monitor tools and workshop equipment and report damage or missing items.
- Control rework costs and unnecessary workshop expenses.
Customer and Advisor Coordination
- Provide accurate technical information to Service Advisors.
- Support Service Advisors with complicated technical cases.
- Provide timely updates so customers can be informed.
- Attend serious customer complaints requiring technical clarification.
Safety and Vehicle Protection
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workshop.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and workshop equipment.
- Protect vehicles during work and control vehicle movement, keys, and parking.
- Ensure lifts, compressors, electrical equipment, and tools are safely maintained.
Reporting and KPIs
- Submit daily reports covering vehicles received, delivered, pending, delayed, and the reasons for delay.
- Include technician productivity, repeat jobs, complaints, material or parts issues, manpower issues, and equipment issues in reports.
- Track on-time delivery, turnaround time, productivity, efficiency, repeat jobs, complaints, quality failures, wastage, and revenue achievement.
Employment and Pay
- Job type: Full-time.
- Pay: AED 8,000 to AED 10,000 per month.
Requirements
- Full-time availability for an in-person workshop management role.
- Ability to manage technicians, helpers, supervisors or foremen, and other workshop staff.
- Ability to enforce approved job-card scopes, ERP updates, quality checks, delivery commitments, and workshop safety standards.
