Overview
- We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Workshop Supervisor to lead our heavy equipment maintenance and repair operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of heavy equipment technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Plan, schedule, and allocate daily tasks and preventative maintenance activities for all heavy equipment, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
- Oversee the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, graders, and other construction or mining machinery.
- Ensure all repairs are completed efficiently, to the highest quality standards, and in compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and completed work to maintain quality control and identify potential issues.
- Manage spare parts inventory, ordering, and tracking to ensure availability and minimize downtime.
- Implement and enforce strict health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures within the workshop.
- Maintain accurate service records, repair logs, and documentation for all equipment maintenance activities.
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and other departments to provide updates on equipment status and repair timelines.
- Identify training needs for technicians and facilitate professional development opportunities.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to resolve persistent equipment issues.
- Optimize workshop layout and processes for improved efficiency and productivity.
